How it works

Delicious Yogurt Made Easy

Making yogurt with the EasiYo Foodservice Yogurt Maker is very easy. The Yogurt Maker consists of a 'Yogurt Pot' and 'Lid' and the 'Appliance' into which the pot sits.

Step 1

Fill the Appliance up to the inner fill-rim (third-full) with cool water. NOTE: using warm water will upset the procedure.

Step 2

Third-fill the Yogurt Pot with cool water, not chilled. (Chilled water may need to be warmed a little when living in very cold temperatures). Thoroughly whisk in a bag of EasiYo Yogurt Base. Whisk whilst topping up the pot with more cool water to approx. 5cm from top. Place lid on and gently lower into the Appliance.

Step 3

Plug into power and turn on. Press the red start button. The red light will switch off in approximately 20 mins. The power is no longer required and the Appliance can be unplugged to avoid accidental reactivation.

Step 4

Leave to stand for 8 hrs or overnight until set. (If you forget and leave up to 24 hours, the product will not spoil).

Step 5

Remove the Yogurt Pot from the Appliance and refrigerate to cool (4°C). Serve when chilled. FLAVOUR TO TASTE AT THIS STAGE ONLY with EasiYo Foodservice Fruit Toppings. Store refrigerated at (4°C).

Step 6

Empty water from Appliance and clean Yogurt Pot well.

SPECIAL NOTES

Sweetening the Yogurt
If required, you can sweeten yogurt by thoroughly dissolving 1kg of sugar (or to taste) with warm drinking water in the empty, clean Yogurt Pot before proceeding with step 2.

Most yogurt in the USA has pectin or gelatin added...

Fruit jam is used instead of raw fruit pieces in the fruit yogurts (despite what is in television commercials) so that they can be stored for weeks without mildew!
